3.23.24 & 3.24.24 Mosaic Basics and Beyond w/Jill G

Learn everything you need to know to get started as a mosaic artist! No art experience, ability or aptitude is required (and in fact often complete novices turn out the most stunning mosaic pieces!)

Sat.: 1-5pm: After learning about design, tools and techniques, you will create your own indoor mosaic art piece (if you don’t finish during class, you can take everything to finish it at home).

Sun.: 10:00-12:30pm:  We grout our pieces and admire our work!  Then I will talk about and demonstrate a number of other mosaic techniques, substrates, tools/cutters, adhesives, including thinset mortar. In this class you should develop the skills and confidence to create all kinds of mosaics, including outdoor pieces, murals, backsplashes, even mosaic sculptures, on your own.
